Question Analysis:
This is a question you’re almost guaranteed to receive in any interview.
The interviewer is trying to determine if you're interested enough in the position to research their company’s business, what you researched, and how thorough this research was.
Important facts you should know about the company interviewing you include:
- What's the company's mission?
- What are its products and services?
- What's it best known for?
- What's the industry like in which it operates?
- Who are its competitors?
- What's its company culture like?
Start your research at their company website and Google search for specific information. Social media channels, news articles, and sites like Glassdoor are other excellent information sources. Pick two or three specific facts about the company that you can tell the interviewer. Keep your answer short and concise, and end it with a question directed back the interviewer.
